I think Iran can't have nukes for the world safety
That was not an issue is this war. The June strikes did a good job (although obviously obliteration did not happen). Negotiations (diplomacy) worked in the past. So, that issue was off the table.
Negotiations worked in the past. With inspections to insure compliance.

The obliteration of the nuclear program was a big joke for me, I think it slowed maybe a little but nothing more...
You can't real trust inspections, they can always have underground hidden labs and such, they are not all mapped... Iran has 60% enriched uranium, while civilian use requires just 3-5%, a bomb needs 90%, it's pretty clear the goal
You don't trust last year's bombing to have neutralized for a time their nuclear ambitions. You don't think diplomacy works, because there's always a chance they are hiding research. So... the answer is to try and destroy the country? Throw the world economy upside down? Bring war to the whole Middle East? Incite violence in Shia populations across the world?
It's sort of like saying, I couldn't catch the mouse so I burned the house down. Now I know I got him.
At some point we have to be reasonable. At some point we have to deal with the world and our opponents in a reasonable way. What's going on now has no foreseeable end. What will happen in the long run? Trump has run out of his options. He, the proud one, is begging other people to help him. How will he save face? What adventure will he try next to rebuild his reputation?
This is a catastrophe....just my opinion.
He surely miscalculated, and I don't know how he can get out of this without losing the face, he doesn't have years like Russia, mid term approaching, it has to end before
I think the only possible way to have halted nuclear bombs program of Iran was to have Russia and China, the two allies, to put pressure on it, but you can't do this after insulting China every day and forcing the war in Ukraine with Russia (and that's thanks to Biden too not just Trump)

That's fodder for another blog...I hardly believe Russia was forced to invade Ukraine. But we'll save that discussion for another day :)
