Let's Play "The Cat and The Coup"

Another game from my backlog, I believe I got it from IndieGala years ago. The Cat and The Coup tells the story of Iranian's Oil revolution and the former prime minister who made it possible. The story is told by moving a Cat to interact with objects and make way for the story to progress.

It's a somber game that's really short and linear, (less than 15 mins long.) Each story beat has only one way to progress, and it's almost puzzle-like but not hard to solve even by mindlessly moving around... Below is my footage of playing it from start to finish.

Somber Vibes

Tje art direction of The Cat and The Coup is very striking, and the game presents historical facts represented by abstract imagery... I felt a bit sad playing through some scenes, but since I didn't know the context of the historical events mentioned, I don't know if the protagonist should be viewed as a tragic hero, or a villain... For that reason, I intentionally didn't mention his name in this post.
