Marshall Conrad Announce Intent to Run for Johnston County (NC) GOP Chairman
Marshall Conrad has announced his intention to run for a 2nd term for Chairman of the Johnston County Republican Party.
Mr. Conrad's slate will include
1st Vice Chair Dale Moore (Kenly)
2nd Vice Chair Jonathan Stovall (Wilson's Mills)
Treasurer Ellie Johnson(Kenly)
Secretary Karen Pollock(Benson)
Counsel Robinson Williams(Clayton)
At Large Member:
Phyllis Blackmon(Smithfield)
Gary Benson(Benson)
Linwood Parker(Four Oaks)
Meredith Park(Wilders)
Since Mr. Conrad was elected as Johnston County GOP Chairman in 2023 the number of registered Republican voters in Johnston County has increased by 3,947 compared to 655 for registered Democrats. This is a net Republican advantage of 19,845 voters over Democrats in Johnston County.
The election for Chair of the Johnston County Republican Party, along with adoption of a Plan of Organization will take place at the Johnston County Republican Party Convention on March 13, 2025. in the old courtroom of the Johnston County Courthouse. The Brightleaf Bulletin has not received notice of any competing candidates for Chairman.

I'm chuckling at the cotton picking scene in the intro. My mother picked cotton as a child. They got payed by the weight of the bag, so they would try to get the first bag filled quickly when the dew was still on it. I've actually been thinking about growing a small patch of it here.

I caught the idea pretty quickly it wasn't overly subtle. I've watched about 30 minutes of it so far, I'll do another chunk tomorrow. It reminds me thematically of a book I've read before and I've been attempting to recall the title.
The notion of "free" has been diluted and distorted into incoherency, much like money. It's bizarre that the dollar has become a meme coin in a sense, though a meme coin collateralized with nukes, and aircraft carriers.
