The only issue with hydrogen is its explosive element. Safety becomes a problem.
With electrogravitics, there is no explosive aspect. And it runs cool - things cool a bit, rather than heating - so the bogus "global warming" hype would not fly... LOL!
Anyway, indeed those moneyed psychopaths in control on Our planet (by virtue of money) surely do hide anything that threatens Their profit/control.

DARPA. Perfect example of stifling technology for power and control. It has happened as long as humans have had "leaders" who think they know "what's best".
We have had pressure vessels capable of withstanding extreme forces since the early 1900s, only now they are made of light weight materials. As long as we aren't filling a giant balloon with hydrogen... lol.
More to the point, it happens when psychopaths and money connect. Which has been pretty much all Our history. LOL!

The smart people don't breed like the stupid ones, sad to say. It'd be one thing if we had a planet filled with geniuses but this lowest common denominator breeding has gone way too far. Though again that is on purpose, smart people are not as easy to control.
I suggest it is not the "breeding." Given We are indoctrinated from birth by the psychopaths with money, propagandized and lied to, the groups of Us groomed to create divides, and Our medicine, land, food, water, air, education, electromagnetic environment, and information flow have been deliberately degraded, I think it's a miracle any of Us "wake up." I have a very great amount of compassion for Our beset race here on Our planet.
