Its kinda scary how humans pshycology works sometimes. I have realised that if we look at history, it always seems like people fall back to wanting to have a strong personal figure as a leader when there is percieved tougher times and people dont have any hope for the future.
Hitler in Germany is a good example, people might not fully have supported all his ideas, but a large part of the population felt that the mainstream politicians werent doing its job, so why not try this newcomer out that say he will improve the life of the german people. The same with Trump now.
And these leaders seem to get a almost cult like following were no one barley questions anything anymore.
I dont know the future, but I strongly believe that if my continent (Europe) wants to have any independence and freedom, these coming years are really cruical. What leaders do we choose, what values do we stand for and what countries share these goals?
