I'm all for them, provided they are open source.

As things are, any gov't money involvement with the data the cameras produce violates the 4th amendment's prohibition against general warrants.

However, nobody has any expectation of privacy in public.
As long as that data is public, I don't see the rub.
Phones, I would argue, are not public.
IF I want to be private in public, I can put on a mask.
(This is why license plates are a 5th amendment violation.)
But, I can't be expected to not carry my organizer with me.
To be secure in my papers would preclude phone data being public, imo.
Technology changes. Principles don't. My phone is my printing press, my papers, and one of my effects. I turn off Bluetooth when it is not in use, I don't use NFC, and I don't use facial recognition to unlock it.
Many places outlaw wearing masks in public, too. Seems like making it Halloween all year is in order as an act of protest. I even have a Guy Fawkes mask somewhere. Make Anonymous Great Again! Hold on, I'm making a picture for that.
I mean, they seriously stop us and the first thing they do is ask for our papers.
And, then threaten us under the color of law if we refuse to surrender them?
Who the f' let things get this way?
I blame the oath takers for not policing their own ranks.
If that oath has no consequences for violating it, what good is it?
Those that have taken the oath have a duty to those who gave all to keep the unfaithful from sullying their sacrifice.

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive 😂 by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters
Actions speak louder than any words do especially when them words are coming from a compolsive liars

I would add this to @jacobtothe's list as well - stop taking ID with you everywhere you go. If more of us say 'no can do' they will have to stop expecting us to have it. Small legal acts of non-compliance with panopticon customs are one thing we can do.
I bought a home in Tennesse. You;d think a red state would have less of this stuff going on, but Tennesses is very bad with surveillance. Public parking is usually done via an app with camera. I parked in a public garage once with my daughter in the car. She instantly got a notification that she had entered a public garage in someone else's car, with a photo. But, the coins in circulation have to have a higher face value than scrap value, so it makes more sense to declare the old coins to have the new value.

Every dollar of coins in your jar is money that the banks paid face value for, it's a dollar out of their pockets.
They weren't short of coins, they just wanted all that value back in circulation instead of working against them.

If you want to gamble, the dollar coins are about 6 cents in scrap, but deliver a bigger punch on revaluation.
IF you have savings in the bank, it may be worth the small percentage of interest to have a couple thousand dollars in your closet.

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
