An Episode of Russia's Betrayal of Syria to Appease NATO

During the almost 14 years of the US-led NATO war of terrorism and genocide against the Syrian people to effect regime change in the last secular country in the region, Russia played a pivotal role often referred to as life saving for Syria it was the other way around, Russia was mostly helping Syria's enemies on the account of the Syrian people.

I have written about many Russian betrayals of Syria during the past 1.5 decades, on my different social media platforms and more so on my website Syria News, I've written about those incidents as they happened, and after the NATO Al Qaeda HTS regime change succeeded, I've written some sporadic posts here and there. Now, I'm thinking of highlighting some of those Russian betrayals for those ideologues with closed eyes who worship Mr. Putin, imagining him as the savior of humanity when he was self-serving his fantasy dream of being Westernized, most of the time at the expense of his Russian people.

The following is an excerpt from an article dated March 12, 2020, addressing part of the military operation by the Syrian Arab Army and allies to liberate Idlib from NATO-sponsored Al Qaeda HTS which was stopped by the Russian leadership to appease NATO Turkish madman Erdogan, the enemy of God and the cheap slave of Zionism:

As Turkish-backed Al Qaeda HTS terrorists failed to capture Saraqib, Idlib southern countryside, northwest of Syria, Turkish madman Erdogan deployed thousands of Turkish troops into Idlib, hoping their presence would deter the advancing Syrian Arab Army (SAA), or dragging NATO's armies into the conflict he created by activating the infamous Article 5, which NATO Christian states refused to activate repeatedly.

However, unaware of Turkish troop movements, the SAA launched an attack that reportedly killed over 3 dozen of the advancing Turkish soldiers.

In the aftermath, Erdogan urgently appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin for support to mitigate the political fallout. While Putin allowed Turkey a limited retaliatory strike to help Erdogan save face without notifying the Syrian side, Russia withheld planned air defense coverage for the SAA and its allies as they were confronting the terrorists.

This move permitted Turkish forces to target Syrian Army posts, including those manned by Hezb Allah and the IRGC, resulting in significant casualties among SAA and allied fighters. The SAA and its partners interpreted this as a betrayal and subsequently mobilized their air defenses, preparing for a renewed push to reclaim Idlib at any cost.

The Syrian people, their armed forces, the Syrian leadership, the Syrian state, and the Syrian diplomatic body worldwide withstood 13.5 years of one of the dirtiest and most criminal regime change operations in the history of the NATO 'defensive' alliance, with little support from their presumed 'allies' who were actively helping Syria's enemies more than helping their ally.

I will try to write more about these backstabbing especially when I see some ignorant repeating the claims that Russia saved Syria and the Russian Army should not fight on behalf of the Syrian Army if the latter didn't want to fight, what about the 13.5 years of fighting the SAA was doing on more than 40 active fronts on daily basis while Mr. Putin withheld much-needed weaponry at the request of Israel or in exchange for cheap concessions from his 'Western partners' who keep fingering him in Ukraine, the 'Green Belt', and on every other front? And where and how did over 14,000 terrorists from Chechnya alone cross the borders of Russian republics to join their friends in Al Qaeda in Syria?
