I think it would benefit Trump to step away from social media a tad :)
I am for lack of better options, mostly a Trump supporter. I only voted for him once out of the 3 times though and that was the most recent time against Harris. I was never an outspoken voter and I really don't consider myself partisan or at all dedicated to any one side. I am NOT a registered Republican and never felt compelled to do so. I was once a registered Democrat not because I was ever a Dem, but because someone I knew was running for office and he was a college friend and he was in the primary for an NC House of Representatives job. I could only vote in the primary if I was a registered Democrat. It broke my heart a bit but hell, I wanted to help my friend.
The rules may have changed at this point in time and I don't know if they have or not because i actually try to distance myself from politics as much as possible these days because I don't think it does the average person very much good to obsess over something that they probably can't change with additional research anyway. I have some liberal friends that I stay in touch with and the way in which they just go absolutely nuts on social media about anything and everything political that happens says to me that they probably spend a great deal of their life unhappy and outraged by the media that they choose to read. A media source that is undoubtedly intentionally adding more fuel to the "anger fire" that exists inside of their audience already.
I did vote for Trump in the last election though, but I wasn't really all that attached to the prior two. Since he has been in office, I have agreed with some of what he has done, and disagreed with other things. I feel like if you find anyone out there that just has a blanket support for any politician or party that they are probably not even thinking about anything, they are just following the herd. I hesitate to call them "sheep" because that has been overused to the maximum capacity to the point where it doesn't mean anything anymore.
I will say this though, and this shouldn't really be controversial at all: That guy needs to take a step back from social media because it isn't really doing him any favors.

The recent posts where he said "Praise be to Allah" and then later posted an image of himself as Jesus, I can't help but look at that and hope that this account was hacked, but no, he did those things, and he meant to do them.
One side of me can appreciate a good trollin' every now and then, even if that person happens to hold the most powerful office on Earth. It humanizes him in a certain way, and nobody can really say that his statements have been carefully written by a group of staff members the way that Biden certainly did, and I have my suspicions about Obama and most likely "W" as well.
However, I think this is a great way to make people like me, who are conservative but not necessarily MAGA, turn and reflect about why am I supporting this guy? It becomes a bit indefensible after a while and I don't really even try.
When I am at the Elks Lodge, which is an absolute stronghold for conservative beliefs and the literal embodiment of an echo-chamber, there are often discussions of support over Trump's postings and this is often where I find out that they even happened. I don't really follow the news and I don't follow him or any other politicians on any sort of social media. I'm one of those people that doesn't follow ANYONE on social media so I have a good out.
But when my drinkin' buddies showed me his Tweets or Truths or whatever they are called, my initial reaction to the "praise be to Allah" and the depiction of him as Jesus was "there's no way that is real." But then I went and looked it up and I'll be damned, he actually did those things.

At first I laugh a little bit and then I hope that the man is actually a lot smarter than most give him credit for and he is just keeping himself in the news cycle by doing crazy things and having the networks lose their damn minds for hours on end talking about it and calling for his impeachment. I find it really funny how almost everyone became a die-hard Christianity expert after these Twitter/Truth posts. The same people that would never have mentioned religion and if they are on a particular network they may have actually come across as anti-Christian in the past.

I kind of like not knowing what is going on in the world and maybe I just live in a little bit of a bubble where it is possible for me to be that way and continue to be ok. I did spend a lot of my life not having the internet and when I first started working professionally I still enjoyed a daily paper over breakfast.
Those of you out there that have never experienced this don't know how great it was to not be constantly bombarded by what these days is, mostly propaganda.
I don't think Trump will stop though, because he doesn't seem to have anyone guiding him that he actually listens to, and perhaps that is a good thing. In the meantime though, he certainly does give the opposition plenty of ammo to attack him with.
In my case, he keeps me confused because some of the stuff that he puts online seems so unusual that I feel like it is a some sort of parody account and I guess there is part of me that finds this very funny, but also, strangely, kind of disappointing.
Tweets and trolling stop being funny when people are dying in a pointless undeclared war. Scores of kids are dead after American missiles hit their school. Threatening to destroy civil infrastructure is terrorism, full stop. The straits were open with no tolls on Feb. 27th. He claimed the Iranian nuclear program was already obliterated last year. What would Jesus do? Not that.
I seriously doubt that he is religious at all but just uses it to garner favor with certain people.
Did that missile hitting a school actually happen? If we are talking about the same thing the media does the same thing they always do. One side saying it's real and the other saying it never happened or was an inside job.
I don't stay informed about these kind of things so please don't take this as an invitation to argue... I don't want that.
I just think that a public official shouldn't be tweeting like a teenager and from what little I hear it has become an almost necessary part of holding public office. One of the ones I really enjoyed was the Elizabeth Warren one where she was in her fridge trying to get down with the young people by drinking a beer and then thanked her husband for being there... in his own house.
Politicians are just ridiculous these days.
It happened, and it was US missiles
I don't obsess about politics, either. My husband does, so I hear plenty from him. And I read a little, here and there. I am an independent voter, preferring to vote for the person rather than the party. Trump has done a few good things, but he has really betrayed the MAHA movement, and I think the Republican party is going to regret that. His social media posts (which other people show me) are getting so ridiculous, it's embarrassing to the entire country. The man is acting demented.
I think he probably revels in the attention, good or bad.
