That sucks. I am sorry you are having to deal with that. It seems like in this day and age banks would be big enough that they can handle things like this. I signed up for Ally a while ago which is an online bank that has no physical branches. I don't know what their footprint is though.

it seems as though I have found a loophole but nothing solid yet. In the meantime it just makes travel a pain because I have to deal with cash all the time. It's lame. I have a debit card issued by napas but wtf is even that?

I do, but normally not a great deal of it. There was a time that I was very opposed to electronic payments but eventually had to get on board and now I guess I don't mind it. I wish there was a card that you could load up with money from any source and then use it to make purchases though, I don't like the idea of everything I do being tracked.
Some of these Crypto Debit cards might eventually become more of an option.
