It's perfectly understandable that you were disappointed to learn that Churchill hadn't written the books, since it's more likely that he would have given his own version of events.

Actually, this book is his version of events. He supervised the writing. He went over everything. Churchill was a very strong character, very much a leader. I'm sure nothing went out unless he approved of it.
