Louisville Stands With LA

As y'all might have seen, Los Angeles isn't having the felon-in-chief's invasion of their communities. Here in Louisville, we have quite a bit of familiarity with heavily armed goons being sent in to terrorize communities, and so yesterday folks returned to Injustice Square to stand in solidarity with LA.

Organized by BLM and 50501 on rather short notice (I found out about it 90 minutes before it started), folks filled the square to hear from speakers and take to the streets.

This country was founded by migrants, on land stolen from its inhabitants. Still not sure if it's a fear of being treated as we have treated others or simply a sense of 'I stole it fair and square!' that is fueling the current situation but either way it reeks of hypocrisy.

Speaking of hypocrisy, it's a bit rich to hear the person who pardoned those responsible for January 6th decrying 'lawlessness.' But it was never really about any of that was it?

Threatening to send the military into other communities if they protest just lays bare the power play that it is. Here in Louisville, we're not okay with that.

Back in 2020, one of our favorite chants here was "No justice, no peace!" With heavily armed, masked men disappearing people and the powers that be defying law and court orders to spirit folks out of the country into foreign prisons, we seem in no danger of having justice.

No peace it is. Here in Louisville, we'll keep taking it to the streets until a certain taco president realizes there's more of us than them. Until then, stay safe out there y'all.

Happiness is when all people support each other in times of difficulty and then their demands are definitely fulfilled. If there was a human being here and made a demand, his demands could never be fulfilled.
