They are all dirty due to how much money is flowing around them and has never been about the pay, but the perks and bonuses which earn them far more.

In relation to my friend, who is a good guy for the most part, he has definitely personally benefited from what he is doing. I sometimes wonder if he even actually cares about the position that his foundation actually stands for. I feel as though a lot of these people are just grifters. They find some sort of cause that doesn't have enough leadership and then become that leadership in order to enrich themselves... the people get all riled up and send donations, much of which goes towards the administrative side of things which is of course, paying themselves. While I am certain he wouldn't turn the position down, he no longer needs to actually get elected, he's part of the political machine without involving votes.
