Amazing how the building regulations can change and you wonder those tall builds if anyone got paid extra to change the laws allowing them to happen. I was shocked in Dubai at how tall the buildings were as I am no fan of heights. Our hotel 'upgrade' put us on the 29th floor and I would have preferred the 2nd or third lol.

being on a higher floor here has noise advantages in that you get away from the noise. Perhaps with the limitation of building size not only will the cut down on the amount of construction noise but also maybe people will all now live closer to the ground and have a sort of understanding about how awful the never ending racket is and therefore change something about that as well.
