RE: Thai tourism. It's gonna get worse before it gets better

The Baht increasing in value is a big problem and there will be cheaper options elsewhere. Many people cannot just afford to go on holiday like they used to and times have definitely changed. Imagine your country is only attracting those seeking sex and drugs which is not a tourist industry you can really target and grow.

I've found a "strong Thai Baht" to be a really strange thing and suspect currency manipulation. I don't even know what this country exports other than rice and palm oil.
They must be known for something besides the sex trade and I need to read up on this.
Thailand is known for having amazing beaches as well. It's not just the sex trade. In the past Thailand was seen as a wonderful affordable paradise, but since it stopped being affordable... it's now one of the most expensive countries to travel to in this part of the world... people are looking elsewhere.
You can't blame the tourists looking for a better deal and each place has it's time in the sun before it loses out to somewhere else.
