Nothing would surprise me. To be honest, if I thought I could make money by baiting morons into attacking me, I would probably do it to.
Then again, another classic advertising tenet is that sex sells. If not for the controversy, I would have no reason to believe that this was an example of anything other than that.

sex sells indeed and Sweeney is one of the most beautiful people on the planet. That on its own likely would have been enough but most people, like me, probably never would have heard about this campaign if not for the people complaining about it. and that is why I think it is manufactured outrage... well with some people the outrage is genuine but phew... thank goodness that I don't know any of those people because they seem like they would be very difficult to get along with.
