A Quick Yet Purposeful Strolling at the Municipality of Medellin
Hello everyone! It's Friday and a rainy day yet, yet my husband decided to have a quick visit to the municipality of Medellin, after knowing that the municipality conducted a Caravan of Government Offices. Despite the weather conditions, we traversed the road to Medellin since I had important documents to submit to the GSIS regarding my refund claim. This caravan of government offices is a program of Governor Gwendolyn Garcia for the service of the people. The government offices present in the caravan were GSIS, SSS, LTO, Agriculture, PRC, Philhealth, DOLE, and other government agencies. I'm glad that our governor initiated the so-called caravan for it helped a lot of all the people who have concerns and issues in each office and has no time to travel to the city and to minimize our expenses of traveling too.
After I finished my agenda at the GSIS as well as in the SSS we went home hurriedly for it was already 11:30 am. While heading home we dropped by the Medellin Plaza for I was attracted to the colorful plaza of Medellin. I'm amazed that the Medellin Plaza before and now has great changes. The simple Plaza to a more unique and attractive one since it was designed perfectly for plaza-goers, especially for children. As I went inside I saw a replica of a train at the center of the Plaza. Medellin was noted for a train before that transports sugarcane from different sugar plantations to the Milling Station. Sad to say that some of the sugarcane plantations of Medellin were already converted into subdivisions and soon to rise the airport. As I continued, walking around the plaza, I saw a children's playground with various playing amenities. There were chairs and tables too around the plaza corners where you could sit for relaxation while eating your favorite snacks, especially at night.
After strolling the plaza we stopped for a moment as we saw the dock side of Medellin. We imagined that it would be nice to visit there during nighttime for there were lights and lots of food stalls. This is called dockside for these structures were connected to the sea thus making the area refreshing and relaxing. My husband and I were planning to visit there at night with our kids.
It was almost noon of strolling there, so we decided to go home. While on our way home the eye-catching view of the bridge that connects the Poblacion, Medellin, and the other barangay, made us stop for a while and take a look along the view of the bridge. We realized that this bridge was improved. The breathtaking views of the seashore and the green scenery of the mangrove plantation along the shore reminded me that God's creation is perfect and wonderful.
