Is DOGE Exposing Enough?
The dep of gov oversight has been playing a major role in uncovering a variety of overspending issues or questionable finance moves by the state, but has it gone far enough?
We know there is a lot of waste and there has been concern about fraud and corruption, it's important to know where incredible amounts of money are being wasted. Especially for an organization that cannot balance a budget very well. Overspending is something you might want to keep an eye on.
There is still arguably plenty to be desired though in investigating military overspending. This makes a significant portion of the budget, you might find many saying that's a good thing. But mindful and wasteful spending on military endeavors are two different things.
There have been independent reports about costsly products or systems, flaws with approach in spending, and other issues, but where is DOGE in highlighting more of it? Perhaps when you consider the current administration then it might not be surprising they'd neglect to do a thorough job if they haven't or don't plan on it.
It might be challenging to get an exact picture of everything encompassing all of the spending, but it's important enough of a cause in spending the time to take a look, isn't it?
