There are plenty of jaded ex-staffers that will say anything to try to land a job with either team as well I'm sure. If what she is saying is legit, there's a good chance she is just saying it to curry favor with some other new employer.

I knew a guy that was a hardcore liberal in college and he was always trying to get a job or get funding for an election that he could run on his own. He ran for some lower level office one year with said funding he secured by supporting Democrat candidates and lost, not by much, but still lost.

fast forward 20 years and his devious tactics were more lucrative with the conservatives and now he runs a PAC that exclusively supports Republicans. This guy has no morals or affiliation to anything other than money, and likely never did.
