1.  Introduction

Herein I describe the former Nebraska Attorney General whom I have mentioned in other articles of mine on this same writing platform. His name is Jon Bruning, and this man is the face of evil.

Mr. Bruning entered into politics in 1996 at the age of 27 and was elected to the Nebraska Legislature that same year. He eventually got elected as the Nebraska Attorney General in 2002. Was he a good Attorney General? No, he wasn't. He got reelected twice only because nobody ran against him in the subsequent Nebraska state elections.

Mr. Bruning has done a number of shady things during his political career. However, the most despicable thing that he ever did was destroy a family upon meddling into something that really wasn't his place to do so.

Even watching this man on television makes me cringe with venom in my mouth. Most men from Generation X are pragmatic individuals whose strongest quality is critical thinking. Well, Mr. Bruning is none of those things. He stinks to high heaven. He should have been disbarred from the practice of law long before he even had the opportunity to run for Attorney General of his state jurisdiction or anywhere in the world.

I normally lean Republican whenever I vote in state or Federal elections despite that I am a moderate Independent; but I would never vote for Mr. Bruning if he were to run for president of the United States, even though he is a Republican. He's completely worthless, to say the least about him.

2.  Jon Bruning's Sketchy Background

To give you some background of what a cockroach Jon Bruning is, the Federal Election Commission fined him $19,000 for having committed finance violations during his 2012 United States election effort. It is a good thing that he lost the election when he ran for United States Senate back then, because he showed nothing but contempt for those who were less fortunate than others.

Upon watching the video below, you'll find that Mr. Bruning referred to welfare recipients as "raccoons" while he was campaigning to go to Washington, D.C. to serve as a senator. This constitutes one of his many transgressions.

Jon Bruning Belittles The Poor In One Of His Campaign Speeches

The problem here is not the Republican Party. It's Mr. Bruning himself. He's the raccoon.

Now, I'm equally as opposed to welfare abuse as anyone else. However, there are situations in which men abandon their wives and kids, and these women end up depending on social welfare benefits inasmuch as they have no job skills other than running a household and raising children. They also have nobody to look after their kids, if they do find employment outside the home; and they cannot afford childcare.

Mr. Bruning? If you are reading this article here of mine, get off your moral high horse! You force people onto welfare by imposing policies that needlessly send them to prison for something that doesn't warrant prison time, and you shame them for taking social welfare benefits that they could not survive without, thanks to you.

Ladies and gentlemen? You're probably wondering what I'm talking about in describing Mr. Bruning railroading people who don't deserve to spend one day behind bars. I'm getting to it.

There's nothing wrong with anyone having conservative values. However, punishing innocent individuals for poverty and homelessness is not a conservative value, and Mr. Bruning should have known this before he ever entered into politics. Below is a video of Mr. Bruning behaving disgracefully as he campaigns for office.

Jon Bruning Causes Even The Most Conservative Of Republicans To Question His Integrity Or Rather Lack Thereof

According to the video above, Mr. Bruning engaged in more wasteful spending than his predecessor, former Nebraska Attorney General Don Stenberg, did. Yet Mr. Bruning runs his mouth about the importance of cutting back on government spending. What a hypocrite he is! Thank God that Mr. Bruning never made it to Capitol Hill.

3.  The Koso Family

Jon Bruning has committed a number of transgressions against others; but in his capacity as the Nebraska Attorney General, he went above and beyond to destroy an entire family and split all the members of it apart. These actions go against the principles of the Republican Party.

Conservative Republicans are supposed to be about family. However, Mr. Bruning went against his own party's belief system by destroying the Koso family.

Once upon a time back in 2003, there was a 12-year-old girl named Crystal Guyer who lived in Lincoln, Nebraska. She fell in love with a gentleman named Matthew Koso. Having a boyfriend in middle school was nothing unusual for a girl her age.

Matthew showered her with love. He looked out for her best interest. He wanted a future with her of marriage and family someday.

When Crystal was 13 years old, she found out that she was pregnant with Matthew's baby. Both she and Matthew informed their respective parents about it with the exception of Crystal's father. Unfortunately, her father was not in the picture by then. Everyone agreed that Crystal and Matthew should get married.

Matthew wanted to marry Crystal, even though she was barely a teenager. However, there was one major problem. Matthew was eight years older than Crystal.

Because the state of Nebraska did not allow for someone to get married at age 13 or 14, Crystal and Matthew decided to travel down to Hiawatha, Kansas to tie the knot where it was perfectly legal at the time. Matthew was 22 years old, and Crystal was 14 years old when they took their wedding vows.

After Matthew and Crystal got married, they moved in together and awaited the birth of their first child. Everything seemed perfectly fine for them.

The police eventually found out about the situation, but they didn't want to intervene inasmuch as they knew that Matthew had done the right thing. The District Attorney (County Attorney) in Lincoln County, Nebraska was not interested in pursuing a criminal case against Matthew, because he realized that no good would have come out of sending him to jail or prison.

Nevertheless, after Mr. Bruning got wind of the matter, he decided that he could not leave well enough alone. Therefore, he chose to take it upon himself legally to launch a witch hunt against Matthew. He had Matthew arrested on "Rape of a Child," which is the most serious sexual crime anyone can be indicted for in any carnal-knowledge case in Nebraska.

Crystal didn't want Mr. Bruning to stick his nose into her and Matthew's lives, but Mr. Bruning wouldn't back off. He simply had to make an example out of Matthew any way he could.

Mr. Bruning even took matters further and accused Matthew of being a pedophile, even though both the Fourth and Fifth Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders ("DSM-4" and "DSM-5") indicated that someone like Matthew would not be one inasmuch as Crystal was not still in Tanner Stage 1 when she first had sexual intercourse with him. The DSM-4 was the Bible for mental-health professionals at the time. The DSM-5 wasn't published until 2013.

In his capacity as an attorney, Mr. Bruning should have known better than to make such a horrendous accusation without first looking up the definition of pedophilia in the DSM-4. The fact alone that he didn't do so demonstrates that he was never qualified to be an attorney of any kind in the private or the public sector.

The mere fact that Mr. Bruning falsely accused Matthew of being a pedophile should have sufficed for someone to seek to have him disbarred from the practice of law. If Mr. Bruning had lost his license to practice law, he then would have been forced into stepping down from his position as the Nebraska Attorney General. That is, if I have my knowledge of how the law works correct.

If Mr. Bruning had been forced to step down from his position as the Nebraska Attorney General, the above-described criminal case against Matthew probably would have been dismissed with prejudice and the Koso family would have been able to live their lives together in peace without needless interference from the authorities. Unfortunately, it didn't play out that way.

Matthew had to serve 15 months in prison. After he was released from prison, he and Crystal reunited with each other and raised their child together. However, none of this was good enough for Mr. Bruning. He wasn't going to stop causing problems for them until their lives were ruined forever.

So many years later Matthew and Crystal were struggling to keep public officials from taking their four kids away from them permanently. You have to know that Mr. Bruning was involved in this witch hunt against them. Ultimately, they lost their kids to the state of Nebraska. Their marriage fell apart. Mr. Bruning destroyed their lives and the lives of their children.

I once heard that Mr. Bruning was confronted with a terminal illness. Hmmm. It's too bad it didn't put him in his grave before he ever found out about Matthew and Crystal. He is a snake, and it is outrageous that he still walks and breathes to this very day after what he did to the Kosos.

Matthew and Crystal struggled financially throughout this entire ordeal because of legal repercussions that having a police record can cause for someone looking for a job. Matthew is a Marine veteran, so he did receive some kind of compensation from the government in connection with an injury he sustained while serving in the military.

The elephant in the room here is that if Mr. Bruning had stayed out of Matthew and Crystal's lives, they both would have been able to raise their children and they would be making memories with them today during the holidays. Mr. Bruning shattered their dreams and stole their future away from them.

It is a blessing that Mr. Bruning lost the election for the United States Senate back in 2012. Nebraska voters didn't even want him as their governor when he ran for that office in 2014. Why he is still legally allowed to practice law is beyond my comprehension.

Now, I realize that Mr. Bruning has made it no secret during his tenure as the Nebraska Attorney General that he was tough on sexual offenses in his state. You only have to watch the video below to know what he's all about in that respect.

Jon Bruning Comes Down Hard On A 33-Year-Old Man Who Attempted To Hook Up With A Minor Online

Now let me get this. The 33-year-old suspect described in the video above never had sexual contact with the 12-year-old Los Angeles girl he communicated with online, and yet he was charged with Sexual Assault By An Electronic Communication Device.

Oh, wow! Would that make the late Dr. Ruth Westheimer guilty of the same thing for giving sexual advice to girls that young when she was still on the radio? Well, she can't be charged with any crime now, because there are no police in the afterlife who could arrest her.

I'm not going to make this man (Jeremy Thomas Luedtke) out to be an angel in wings, because I do realize that he has a less-than-perfect criminal background. However, I will ask this one pressing question. Why is it that if there was a police investigation down in Ocean Springs, Mississippi of the late Aubreigh Wyatt's rape, her rapist is still walking the streets a free person to this very day? She was 12 years old when he raped her.

Oh, I have to remember one thing. Even though this punk forcibly, violently, and brutally raped the late Aubreigh Wyatt when she was 12 years old, the fact alone that he was the same age as her somehow gives him a get-out-of-jail-free card. What a wonderful criminal justice system the United States of America has.

Of course, if Mr. Bruning were to read this article here of mine, he would make the excuse that the late Aubreigh Wyatt was raped in a completely different state jurisdiction. This man makes me want to throw up on the floor and scream from the top of my lungs.

In other words, a 13- or 14-year-old boy can get into less trouble in this nation for forcibly raping a 12- or 13-year-old girl than a 20-year-old man can do so for falling in love with a girl that young. In the eyes of the law, it's more about the math than it is about the actual victimization of a young girl. How is that criminal justice?

4.  Final Thoughts

Matthew Koso and Crystal Guyer (Koso) were both young and in love with each other upon first dating. They ended up in an embarrassing situation. They did the right thing and got married. Yes, they were each on opposite sides of the legal age line when they first made love.

Nevertheless, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that Jon Bruning did not act in the interest of justice upon prosecuting Matthew, in his capacity as the Nebraska Attorney General. Mr. Bruning's actions against him, his wife, and his kids was a clear case of abusive government overreach.

Mr. Bruning is a predator who wears the mask of a caring child advocate. Allowing him to be barred as a lawyer in Nebraska put a stick of dynamite into his hand, and he used it to destroy the lives of Matthew and Crystal as well as their children.

Did you know that a prison guard raped an inmate on Mr. Bruning's watch? Mr. Bruning allowed for this heinous crime to go unpunished. I guess he was more concerned about prosecuting frivolous and malicious carnal-knowledge cases involving teenage girls than actual acts of sexual brutality during his tenure as the Nebraska Attorney General.

As Americans, we need to go above and beyond either to vote these vicious career politicians out of office or seek inventive ways to remove them from office. These shysters couldn't care less about the greater good of our society. They're self-serving and callous in the way that they conduct their legal activities.

The best course of action is not to vote shysters like Mr. Bruning into office in the first place. It could make a monumental difference in how a young person's future gets molded. Pay close attention to political candidates' proposed policies. If they say they want to raise the worldwide statutory age of consent to 21 or 25 years old, that intention of theirs alone is enough of a red flag not to vote for them.
