There is a newspaper from Brazil that likes to make front pages with shocking and appealing news, so people itch to buy it. That's how it works... If they post only "boring" news, why will people read? So that's how they win with a polarized world!
Politicians also need to fuel that hate because that's how they justify their votes. Why will people pick one side? because even if they hate the candidate they are voting for, they will still vote on it because they don't want the other one to win thats how it works, the voting logic in MOST OF THE WORLD nowadays
As far as boring news, it depends on what one would consider boring. I for one just like straight facts, no fluff or hype.

it is basically an app that uses ai to make summaries of news and also tag sources by political position for example they give the percentage of sources for a certain news by Right, left and center. so yeah their summaries are more direct without stating evilness etc. They have also a premium paid version that gives more stuff that I forgot lol
