As an ignorant in politics, I must say USA has the worst impression on me now more than ever and this just makes me think - in a very simple and not informed way - that if only America would have less influence in the rest of the world, we in Europe could live slightly better.
For me it's strange and bad that Europe is still influenced by USA so much

Yes, I often wonder what the world would be like if America wasn't the number one global power. I dare say there would be a lot of positives. But when I think about which country could fill the void left by America that worries me also.
It's hard to think about it because we are just so used to the globalized system that America pushed so hard. But this globalization is what lets big billionaire corps to prosper.
I don't think that void should be filled someway. It would be automatically filled by a stronger identity coming from every single country, and Europe together.
What I find useful is to separate globalization from globalism. There have been many benefits to the globalization process. Trading barriers, technological communications and diplomatic relations have witnessed improvements. I have no problem with the world being anyone's marketplace.
However, what I oppose is globalism which basically translates into global governance. This form of governance is a huge part of the global order and should be resisted.
