RE: The address to Congress was an embarrassing joke

It is expected that the points the President makes would be received with more filter from the opposition than his own party. Last night, I caught Speaker Johnson shaking his head at the wrong part of Trump's statement and quickly correcting himself - I had to laugh!
The part that so far is unique to Democrats was to be silent as far as they could be for any guest that is brought up by the President. From my searching, I did not find an example of the reverse.
Since bringing up "feel-good" guests has been the cringy tradition at State Of The Union speeches since the 80's, I would expect an appropriate, if tempered, response from the Democrats about a boy surviving cancer. I think the goal was to give Trump nothing of what he wants. They couldn't do that for his humous content, though. "Pocahontas says yes" got a human response from Liz Warren and I hear some Democrats couldn't help but laugh at some of the ridiculous sounding programs that were cancelled by DOGE.
I suppose parts of it were entertaining enough. I only saw the highlights which mostly were predictable. I don't know if the sign holding protest is going to work out for the people that did it, not in the way that they might be hoping. Not that it makes any difference since the blues are gonna vote blue and the reds are gonna vote red... even if their candidate is terrible and they are aware of this.
The memes were brutal on the vacancy demonstrated by holding a sign! I hope Republicans don't try that! 😆
