Street Art in New Caledonia

At the side of the road, I drove past them one day and thought to myself 'those were kinda cool' but didn't have the inclination to stop - we had perhaps stopped too many times already that morning for things I thought looked cool.

Luckily we had to past them again heading south the next day and today I remembered roughyl were they were and made a mental note to stop. Who are these people, worthy of portraits in a bus stop. I don't know it's not like there was a informational plaque but given New Caledonia's recent history I'm going to take a wild guess a say Kanak political, or revolutionary figures. I don't speak French or Kanak, but Tous Con I think is French for All Stupid, Iratie may mean they are angry.
