False Teeth

When the First Lady accidentally spat out her false teeth many people finally understood that very little of what these scammers promised them was real. She was saying that the times of privation and shame would be behind us; that the economy would be as solid and beautiful as her teeth. Then, came the dental malfunction.
She joined the gang of mayors, governors, congresspeople, ministers and other minor government officials whose false teeth had already fallen, even if only figuratively, through false smiles.
They could order arrests, expropriations, torture, and execusions while holding a nice wide smile supported by perfectly alligned white teeth.
Politicians must have inherited from Judas the set of teeth and lips to kiss sacrificial lambs. Of course, they have perfected the art of duplicity to kiss babies and old ladies who will eventually suffer the consequences of their false dental displays, without remorse.
It would have been great if they had inherited Judas's sense of guilt and his commitment to atone.
