They got a little French in this Russia

You know 3 years ago we got a French region and the story was just awful. I actually did a rewrite of it. And because I did, I had to look up all this stuff about France. So as I was playing this new story about the new region of Snezhnaya, I couldn't help but notice those things I looked up about France being relevant here. Except that Snezhnaya's based on Russia.
Ok so right from the start you had Alyosha tell us about the mismanagement of heating sources where most of it was still going to the big cities where the rich live so poor communities like where he's from are literally being left in the cold. His hometown froze to death and in its final moments became a lawless area likely just to try surviving. It's left him bitter about the class disparity in his nation. Later on, we attend the "veche" which is poorly named since a veche in real world Russia (actually pre-Russia) was just a gathering of separate Rus tribes with no central leadership. What the "veche" shown in Snezhnaya actually looks like is the Estates General of France where a facade of general assembly would take place and then the first two estates would just side with each other and outvote the poor thus while this third estate is "given a voice" on paper, they really aren't ever heard just like all the posturing at the veche ultimately didn't change anything.
However, then you have the Rokot who through violent and underhanded means were actually bringing change by having the people side against the regime. This Rokot is then reminiscent of the Jacobins who were the violent radicals during the French Revolution and sent many to their deaths for siding against them. Their leader Lelek also came from a low class background and even after rising to prominence, sought to protect her people like Robespierre. There's even Mironova a yellow journalist lopsidedly promoting the Rokot which would be like Marat.
I wonder if this will continue throughout the rest of this story. It might be interesting to see if this story applied back then in the French region would have made that story make more sense.
