Yes, some good points there. Here's a piece of advice for those sad about the election.
Yes, your preferred candidate lost. Act like an adult of voting age and get over it.

Advice for fans of either party:
How about instead of crying, you bring us some real candidates next time?

Seriously, these "leaders" are supposed to be the best our country has to offer.
For those in other countries, Yes the real people here are embarrassed by both.
Instead of bringing us real candidates debating real issues and strategy, both sides played politics and media hype to try and boost less than desired candidates into power. I didn't "want" to vote for any of the candidates on the ballot. Not democrat, not republican, not libertarian.

Why can't we get some better choices into these positions? Where are the real leaders?

The political process doesn't tend to elevate leaders, especially when it is designed to promote a divisive two-party duopoly. The perverse incentives of power and plunder draw the corrupt and corrupt those who enter with good intentions.
