I really like Jason Statham's acting that's why I wanted to see the movie The Beekeeper, I remember this actor from The Transporter and I was a teenager back then when the movie was released, I remember I saw it about five times because I really like his acting and his tough look. Although movies where Jason appears are generally good The Beekeeper is a mix of entertainment with stupidity, here the plot is simple Statham is a beekeeper and at the same time works for a secret government organization and although the protagonist does his best like looking menacing and hitting people I was expecting more action and in some scenes I thought the creators were making things up as they went along.

A mí me gusta mucho la actuación de Jason Statham por eso quería ver la película The Beekeeper, a este actor lo recuerdo de The Transporter y yo era una adolescente en ese entonces cuando se estrenó la película, recuerdo que la vi como unas cinco veces porqueme gusta mucho su actuación y su apariencia dura. Aunque las películas donde aparece Jason generalmente son buenas The Beekeeper es una mezcla de entretenimiento con estupidez, aquí la trama es sencilla Statham es un apicultor y a la vez trabaja para una organización secreta del gobierno y aunque el protagonista hace lo mejor que sabe hacer como parecer amenazador y pegarle a la gente yo esperaba más acción y en algunas escenas pensé que los creadores se estaban inventado cosas sobre la marcha.

The movie starts with Adam Clay who is dedicated to his bees and selling honey and a friend of his Eloise is the victim of a scam and they take over two million dollars out of her account, turns out she can't stand this and becomes suicidal and here CLay's revenge begins, I think it's like the typical thing that happens in these movies, something always detonates people's kindness and they become mercenaries, whether they get their family or a friend killed. Well it turns out that xwith all this it is discovered that Clay is not a simple beekeeper but is a former agent of a secret organization that operate to protect society when something in the system fails and here something failed. Clay follows the trail of swindlers working for a tycoon named Derek and is attacking several companies until he learns that this guy Derek is the son of the President of the United States and on the other hand Eloise's daughter is an FBI agent and is investigating the case. Clay is going up against several mercenaries including another one from his own organization who is sent to stop him.

La película comienza con Adam Clay que se dedica a sus abejas y a vender la miel y una amiga de él Eloise es víctima de una estafa y le sacan de su cuenta más de dos millones de dólares, resulta que ella no soporta esto y se suicdad y aquí comienza la venganza de CLay, creo que es como lo típico que pasa en estas películas, algo siempre detona la amabilidad de las personas y se convierten en mercenarios, ya sea que les maten la familia o un amigo. Bueno resulta que xcon todo esto se descubre que Clay no es un simple apicultor sino que es un antiguo agente de una organización secreta que operan para proteger a la sociedad cuando algo en el sistema falla y aquí algo falló. Clay sigue la pista de los estafadores que trabajan para un magnate llamado Derek y va atacando vrias empresas hasta que se entera que este tipo Derek es el hijo de la Presidenta de los Estados Unidos y por otro lado la hija de Eloise es agente del FBI y está investigando el caso. Clay se va enfrentando a varios mercenarios incluso otro de su misma organización que es enviado para detenerle.

In this movie Statham is good as always but what I don't like much are the ridiculous jokes about the bees that he has to say although sometimes he says it seriously and it's still him. Josh Hutcherson in the role of Derek is a spoiled and drug addicted guy who is quite a revelation especially because of how used I am to seeing him as Peeta in The Hunger Games, the other actors are Jeremy Irons as the former CIA director who tries to protect Derek, Phylicia Rashad is Eloise and makes the most of her little time in this role and Emmy Raver Lampman as Verona Eloise's daughter who I did not like at all because I found her more like one of those actresses from cheap soap opera dramas. Her performance coupled with the absurd jokes about the bees made this movie a bit strange.

En esta película Statham es bueno como siempre pero lo que no me gusta mucho son los ridículos chistes sobre las abejas que tiene que decir aunque a veces lo dice con seriedad y sigue siendo el. Josh Hutcherson en el papel de Derek es un tipo malcriado y drogadicto que es toda una revelación sobretodo por lo acostumbrada que estoy de verlo como Peeta en The Hunger Games, los otros actores son Jeremy Irons como el ex director de la CIA que trata de proteger a Derek, Phylicia Rashad es Eloise y aprovecha al máximo su poco tiempo en este papel y Emmy Raver Lampman como Verona la hija de Eloise que no me gustó para nada porque me pareció más bien una de esas actrices de dramas baratos de novela. La actuación de ella sumado a los chistes absurdos sobre las abejas hicieron que esta película fuera un poco extraña.

The theme of politics that the movie deals with is also a bit confusing because it seems to want to give a message about corruption and abuse of power, but at the end it kind of tries to fix it wanting to insinuate that the problem is a few people who are rotten and that it is not the fault of the system, it bothered me a lot that the FBI and other security forces were shown as idiots who were mocked by Clay at all times, now what I did find satisfying was to see this beekeeper take down the con men who take advantage of older people although you have to be careful with this because there is a whole moral weight and justice when you try to solve everything by your own hand, of course the movie doesn't show it, but it is not something to be taken lightly.

El tema de la política que trata la película también es algo confuso porque parece querer dar un mensaje sobre la corrupción y el abuso de poder, pero al final como que lo trata de arreglar queriendo insinuar que el problema son unos pocos que están podridos y que no es culpa del sistema, me molestó mucho que se mostrara al FBI y otros cuerpos de seguridad como idiotas que eran burlados por Clay en todo momento, ahora lo que si me pareció satisfactorio fue ver a este apicultor acabar con los estafadores que se aprovechan de las personas mayores aunque hay que tener cuidado con esto porque hay todo un peso moral y de justicia cuando uno trata de solucionar todo por mano propia, por supuesto la película no lo muestra, pero no es algo que se puede tomar a la ligera.

And well the ending is exaggerated as well as the rest of the movie you could not expect less hehehe, Clay manages to infiltrate the presidential mansion during a party and confronts Derek and the president and it is shown that Derek has been using the CIA algorithms to manipulate the elections of his mother making her an accomplice of all this corruption, this part is somewhat predictable and absurd but what I did not see coming was that Derek was willing to kill his own mother in all this mess that was armed and then run away, I do not know where because everyone knows him but Clay was quick and shot him in the head, this is killing all around hehehehe. In the last scene Clay is shown escaping to the beach, where he puts on the diving equipment he had previously hidden and disappears into the sea, this may give for a second part maybe Clay returns to show that beekeepers are guardians of society. The score I give to The Beekeeper is 6.5/10 although it has very entertaining action scenes I thought the plot is somewhat ridiculous and not very credible in addition to the annoying jokes about the bees and the political message it gives is somewhat confusing, is it justified to take justice into our hands to end corruption?

Y bueno el final es exagerado así como el resto de la película no se podía esperar menos jejeje, Clay logra infiltrarse a la mansión presidencial durante una fiesta y se enfrenta con Derek y con la presidenta y se demuestra que Derek ha estado utilizando los algoritmos de la CIA para manipular las elecciones de su madre convirtiéndola a ella en cómplice de toda esta corrupción, esta parte es algo predecible y absurda pero lo que no me vi venir fue que Derek estaba dispuesto a matar a su propia madre en todo este rollo que se armó para después salir huyendo, no sé a donde porque todo el mundo lo conoce pero bueno Clay fue rápido y le disparó en la cabeza, esto es matazón por todos lados jejeje. En la ultima escena se muestra a Clay escapando a la playa, donde se pone el equipo de buceo que había escondido previamente y desaparece en el mar, esto puede dar para una segunda parte quizás Clay regresa para demostrar que los apicultores si son guardianes de la sociedad. La puntuación que le doy a The Beekeeper es de 6.5/10 aunque tiene escenas de acción muy entretenidas me pareció que la trama es algo ridícula y poco creíble además de los chistes fastidiosos sobre las abejas y el mensaje político que da es algo confuso, se justifica el tomar la justicia por nuestras manos para acabar con la corrupción?
