The Jagaban Era.

Immediately I saw this topic, even though a lot of names and experiences came running through my mind, still one keeps beating and was loud than the rest. I'm talking of the present regime we are under. The regime of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the jagaban and the master strategist as he often calls himself.

One of the reasons why I won't be going in time to discuss other presidents is because I've told myself to talk about this government and the various things we are experiencing under it until a change really comes. This government is one That's good and bad, but the bad by far outweighs the good. And I'm not sorry if I don't mention any good things being done by this government, because their number one assignment is one they've failed woefully at.

This government is one where people have complained the most, everything is hard. They removed fuel subsidy when they first came into power and immediately everything skyrocketed. Most of us that are able to manage ourselves before and navigate our way through before they came into power are now finding it so hard to even do something for ourselves. You will literally think millions before you can even say you want to buy a cold coke after a long day.

Like I said earlier, they've done few good things, but the bad outweighs the good. And even if they claim to have done and touch certain things like healthcare centers, educational system, infrastructures and all, the question now will be, who are wthise that will make use of that infrastructures they've put in place, is it their citizens who are being kidnapped every single day, who will make use of those schools, is it the young students being kidnapped in their hundreds everytime.

The primary duty of any government is to protect the lives and properties of it's citizens, any government who can't do that much I'd already a failure. Insecurity in Nigeria is now what we are beginning to add to our ways of live, seeing it as a normal thing. The citizens can no longer travel in peace, students can't go to school without the fear of being kidnapped and no one can sleep with these two eyes closed. This government keeps taking their time to call and have negotiations with kidnappers, bandits and terrorists. Who does that, the government now share sovereignty with armed groups/set of people who can do and undo.

Another thing making this administration memorable is it's focus on politics rather than it's people. This present administration is doing so much and putting too much energy into bringing different governors and various influential people into their own political party, while doing and adding nothing to the lives of we it's citizens.

And when protest happens, we get response in another way. Take the mandatory transmission of election results for example, a lot of Nigerians are protesting peacefully, yet this government would listen, rather they prefer throwing tear gas on peaceful protesters and using security agencies to pick them up.

Now, let's talk of the president himself, we've seen that he's old. And I won't want to be rude, so I would want to be mindful of my words. But we've seen him fall, slip, trip and all and we can't help but wonder how good his health is. The task of leading a country, a complex country like Nigeria shouldn't be left in the hand of someone who's not fit enough.

This regime has left a deep mark on everyone of us. It has forced us all to adjust in a way we've never had to. I wa watching a video recently by the honest bunch where Seyi law and Zekeri Idris were talking and doing some debates and I can't help but wonder at how some really fails to see what the people are really experiencing all because they are living a better life and can even "japa" at anytime if worse comes to worse.

We've seen and experienced enough, they can't come to give us their whatever promises again come next election, we've seen what they can do and how well they can go and enough is enough, at least for me.

When you said, the duty of the government is to protect lives and property, I think we lost that right since buhari administration. Ever since APC came into power, it has been one disaster or the other, tinubu is just continuing the legacy of disaster that was left behind by the previous administration.

Omo agaban is really doing this country strong things. The only people were happy or remembered they have a president was toward the end of last year when the price of food stuff began to drop else Nigerians have forgotten that they voted for him.
