RE: Why is rock still such an underrated music genre in today's society?

The prejudice that rock music has faced regarding clothing, tattoos, and illicit substances, made it seem in earlier times that it was just this, a fad and a dark path, unlike many other musical categories They are the same or worse in that lifestyle and they are not looked down upon. I believe that musical preference does not define a person; it is only a matter of musical taste and not a lifestyle.
