The idea scares me but... I wonder if sports is more likely to at least have a return on investment? The videos I saw being produced in some of the above have like 22 views in the last 11 months... What do we get in return for Somalian green urban projects? A thank you note?
I dunno about AUS sports but I remember seeing USA public high school sports coaches have insane salaries, like 300k or something, and is the highest paid public sector job in almost every state. That's pretty mental.

Its crazy. I once wrote a ranting post about the ROI of a carpark structure that was being built locally and it made NO economic sense, even with taking into account "iNfRaStRuCtUrE"
Yeah Americans are unfairly paid. Some of their doctors get 10x what the equivalent doctor gets in UK. I think you guys get at least 3-4x, too.
Well, I take a little comfort knowing we're not the worst out there, per se. Although I'd be interested to learn what international nonsense Australia is up to, too

Oh god dude you have no idea. We can't build shit! We had a new Nuclear plant with a budget of 18 billion quid (briefly mentioned in the video) - already one of the most expensive ever. But due to, well, basically paperwork and bureaucracy, that cost is now 43 billion, and climbing. By far the most expensive EVER BUILT on the planet.
The recoup costs, everybody's bills will skyrocket immediately. Fantastic.
