PROF. IHONVBERE IN BRAZIL TO ATTEND 11TH BRICS SUMMIT: Undoubtedly, IHONVBERE FOR CONTINUITY!

Leader, House of Representatives, Professor Julius Omozuanvbo Ihonvbere, OON, DSSRS has left for Brasilia in Brazil to attend the 11th BRICS inter-parliamentary Summit.

The Iseghede of Owanland who is representing the House Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas at the event will be delivering an address on Thursday, 5th June.

As a result, constituents and friends who may wish to call should consider the timing for such, or better still, send messages as Brasilia is five hours behind Nigeria.

Prof. Ihonvbere appears to be the only one from Nigeria who is participating in the meeting, if the feelers from Brazil at the moment are anything to go by.

BRICS is an acronym for the powerful grouping of the world's leading emerging market economies that comprise Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The 11th Brics Parliamentary Forum in Brasilia, is therefore aimed at consolidating inter-parliamentary cooperation between the member countries, reaffirming the commitment of the legislative branches to strengthening political dialogue, exchanging their best practices, and building a common agenda aimed at sustainable development, social justice and multilateral governance.
