RE: Saw a news bias chart recently, and even it seems biased

I'd say that, given how they have laid these out, allsides is left leaning itself. We can't trust any mainstream news, I agree. This media is calibrated to help keep us divided 50-50. When things start going a bit too left, the NYTimes (for example) starts reporting good things about conservatives. When the political climate shifts a bit too far right, the NYTimes goes full bore anti-right. I just wanna know who or what is guiding the content of mainstream news. All these publications seem to be in cahoots. What do you think is doing it?

that's a good point you made there and while I don't know who it could be and don't want to believe there is a deep state or something corny sounding like that when there are shifts in perspective from certain publications like you mention or the fact that something like allsides itself becomes biased to present an untrue image of the media landscape, well it becomes a bit difficult to not think there is some entity out there that is actually pulling the strings of all of them. I am sure you have seen that video where something crazy like dozens of tv stations all had exactly the same covid message they sent out to their audience yet tried to suggest it was their own original thoughts?

I've seen many of them, and not only about covid, but about mass shooters, war events, everything. For a while there back before the covid con, I would go to local stations as soon as I heard of a shooter. Also to the shooter's FB page. While national news were telling exactly the same story, word for word, the local stations were telling a completely different tale. Local stations seem to be a thing of the past now, or at least I can no longer get to them. In one case, the shooter;s supposed FB profile *changed before my very eyes, after the shooting. Then there was a shooting in Texas during Trump's first term that showed a tweet of his timestamped three hours before the shooting. The events had so clearly been managed, and the final stories so clearly false, that I had to stop doing it, it was affecting my sanity. It is now enough for me to know that the stories (or I should say "story' because they are all the same) we end up seeing ad nauseum are false false false in a great many details. Politicians pushing for gun control are always on the telly within a few minutes, the shooters are always immediately identified and always leave notes or journals. Same story, every single time. Controlled. False.

I think this is probably the best way forward. Like I have said many times, I only look at the MSM to try to get a grasp on how ridiculous they are being with their lies.

I hadn't though about all shooters having a manifesto but yeah, that it always the case these days.
