In the wake of this, some German politicians have announced their intention to tighten the rules on carrying knives in Germany.
In some countries, such as the UK, the carrying of knives in public is very restricted. Elsewhere in Western Europe, there are a number of restrictive rules about the type of knife, the length of the blade, etc. And paradoxically, where there are stricter rules, there is more violence. It may not be related, but that's the reality.
Knives and cold weapons are not restricted in the Czech Republic. You can walk down the street with a two-handed sword or ride the subway with a Japanese katana, and no one cares. Every boy scout has a knife, and the twelve-year-old boys in the photo are buying shurikens, throwing stars, at a stand. Yet violent crime with these weapons in this country is statistically below the European Union average.

Před několika dny došlo v německém Solingenu k tragické události. Jeden zločinec tam během městských oslav pobodal několik lidí. Několik usmrtil, jiné zranil. Pokud vím, byl dopaden a bude souzen a odsouzen.
