Odds and Ends — 13 October 2025

I made shrimp scampi last night, loosely following (whole wheat spaghetti instead of linguine, freeze-dried parsley instead of fresh, probably not enough pepper flakes) this recipe. Yummy but it ended up a little more liquidy than I was expecting and not as pretty as the recipe pic. Our dog Lucy sometimes gets to lick the pan after her humans have eaten but this had garlic, toxic for dogs, so she was out of luck.
