🇮🇳 RaiSetu Is Live — Your Opinion, Recorded on Hive
Today I’m launching something new built around one of Hive’s greatest strengths — a public blockchain that anyone can verify.
It’s called RaiSetu — राय सेतु.
The idea behind RaiSetu is simple:
Can we conduct a public opinion survey where every accepted vote leaves an independently verifiable record on the Hive blockchain?
That is what RaiSetu is trying to do.
🗳️ The First RaiSetu Survey
Our first question is straightforward:
Who is your preferred choice for Prime Minister of India?

Participation is currently limited to people with an Indian (+91) mobile number.
⛓️ Why Hive Blockchain?
Most online polls ask you to trust the website displaying the numbers.
RaiSetu adds another layer of transparency.
After mobile OTP verification, every accepted vote creates an individual transaction on the Hive blockchain.
Once your vote is recorded, RaiSetu gives you the Hive transaction ID.
You can click it and independently verify that your vote was actually recorded on the blockchain.
So Hive isn't being added simply as a Web3 label.
Hive is the public verification layer of RaiSetu.
The blockchain record cannot simply be edited later because somebody doesn't like the result.
That is exactly the kind of use case where I believe blockchain can add real value.
🔐 What About Privacy?
Your mobile number is used for OTP verification and to help enforce:
One Mobile Number = One Vote
Your mobile number is not published on the Hive blockchain.
Demographic information such as:
- Age bracket
- Sex
- State
is also kept off-chain.
It is used only to generate demographic survey results.
Only the vote record necessary for public verification is written to Hive.
📊 Results Are Available After Voting
Once you have voted, you can see the survey results.
RaiSetu currently provides:
- Overall voting preference
- Age-wise results
- Sex-wise results
- State-wise results
State results are dynamically ranked according to participation.
And because your result access is remembered, you don't have to complete OTP verification again every time you refresh the page.
🇮🇳 Why Start With Hive?
Hive already has an active Indian community.
More importantly, people here understand concepts such as:
decentralization, immutable records, public verification and blockchain transactions.
That makes Hive a natural place to introduce RaiSetu.
This first survey is not being presented as a scientifically representative national election poll.
It is an independent online public-opinion survey.
Its results represent the people who participate.
The more diverse the participation becomes across states, ages and communities, the more interesting the picture becomes.

A simple place where people can express an opinion while blockchain provides an additional layer of public verification.

RaiSetu is now live, but this is its first public release.
