Swift Justice or Plausible Denying

I remember reading about ancient times when people were burned at the stake for being a witch. The accusation and actual burning took place within several hours. Now that is quick justice.

The trials were quick

God mandates 'quick justice' in the Bible, which is where our laws come from. In the Bible proof was necessary and sometimes that took time. In the case of leprosy, a person was to be put away for seven days and then inspected by a priest and sometimes put away for another seven days - then inspected by the priest. All of that was done before exiling that person with leprosy out into the wilderness.

In today's legal system a criminal can sometimes delay their capture, arrest and trial for seven or eight years and in some cases, 20+ years.

Sometimes the evidence that needs to go to trial is classified without having any state secrets contained in it, which is explicitly prohibited under the norms of classification. The Statute specifically says that classifying something because it's embarrassing or inconvenient for a politician is against the law.

But if said politician is going to hang for a huge crime, then he or she may as well hang for classifying things improperly. At least that is their line of thinking.

Justice delayed is tyranny and we have nothing but tyranny right now.

James Comey needs to be in jail and that has been the case for over ten years. I had a theory that no public politician or staffers there-of would every be charged for lying under oath, example James Clapper, and now I am being proven right.
