Whenever I think about Alice in Wonderland or someone mentions it, it reminds of a little known gem of a movie John Larroquette starred in of an underground world in NYC called The Tenth Kingdom.

The 10th Kingdom is one of the best mini-series i have ever watched.
So many tales running through, and they used actual Grimms
You know, the evil stepmother danced in red hot slippers.
I sat through that after borrowing it from storage from a man who use to own six video stores in surrounding small town locations that would provide me with my videos on the cheap he wanted to get rid of for my video store. Must have been one of his more popular old request that he didn't want to get rid of. I was mesmerized watching that. One of the most enjoyable movies I ever watched.
I have a friend, who warns people, that if they borrow the movie, the whole day will be gone.
The entire world is so great. And the interactions of all the great actors throughout. And, that disease, that only strikes on Saturday night…

Exactly, they know what I am talking about and I know what they are talking about. Great movie, definitely not one you want to walk away until the ending.
