# Greetings Community 🥰.

The problem with inflation is when the leaders called the governing group are not concerned 😦 with what is happening in the economy as far as they are getting and catering away what belongs to the nation. In fact, they have enough and still keep storing more for their children snd grandchildren. And this is why I feel the government should always be blamed for any bad economy which eventually leads to inflation.

This very topic “Price Range” is one I love so much because my country Nigeria 🇳🇬 is suffering do much from lack of “Price Control” also known as price regulation. The issue here is that the citizens who called themselves business men and women has taken laws into their hands through reaping off from people from all kinds of businesses they do since the government can not put regulated prices on goods

Price Cap is the only way the government should use in monitoring sell of some certain products and especially those with high rate of competition and consumer goods which mostly are inflated by business owners.

I can not believe it when I entered a Supermarket called Boku in my area to buy some consumer goods , and spaghetti 🍝 is is being sold for =N=950, 5Alive Juice for =N=900, a plastic of Pepsi Soda 🥤 for =N=370, while in another supermarket the spaghetti is sold for =N=1,100, the juice =N=1,200 and Pepsi soda for =N=500. These are crazy price differences and even more when you get to the retail shops 🏬 who do not buy in large quantities, because the higher quantity purchase from dealers as a distributor, the lower the prices will be.

And its not just goods like these because the electronics and gadgets are even higher. I wanted to get a light bulb 💡 to replace some of the burnt bulbs in the house , then some adapters too. The first electrical shop I entered told me the adapter I usually buy for =N=250 is =N=1,200.00. I looked at the chubby guy with seriousness in my face. At least the increment from the last time I bought adapter should not be more than =N=500.00. I immediately left without saying another word to him. All I did was to go down the street to another shop and eventually bought the adapter for =N=500.00.

Its very obvious that those in business are reaping off the citizens because of how they know that no one will check on them. And its very sad because everyone will still go back to blame the government. And because they see how the government keeps also reaping off the nation. In a bad leadership environment only those who has the purchasing power do not pay attention because they can afford what ever they want.

I see this trend as greed. The leaders are greedy and has caused some certain citizens to become greedy too. So who is going to establish a price cap or price regulation? The tariffs on imported vehicles 🚗 went up by 300 percent from what it use to be. All these money 💵 is going to the government who are certain individuals controlling the country. Those who import other consumer goods are buying dollars at a very high rate because most of the politicians called the upper class are also trading on the dollar 💵 as a way to amass their wealth . Its a situation beyond control

In all, what right does a business owner has to inflate commodities? Why should there be too many price differences from goods to services? A cab 🚕 driver will take =N=6,000 to Ikeja from where I live at Omole Mainland. Another cab 🚕 driver will tell you his service to Ikeja is =N=8,000. Next thing he will say is price of gas ⛽️. Some filling station are high while others are low. My country has become “Survival Of The Fittest”
