I keep expecting some to wake up, but my expectations go unmet. As expectations so often do....

but that doesn't excuse ignoring these absolutely concrete violations of the proclaimed principles of peace and small government.

And this is the issue. No one should rely on the US constitution. And if US citizens can't rely on the US constitution, no other country should trust any deal made with the US.
