It is a disaster long in the making. The 1980's had so many great opportunities to make money hand over fist if you were willing to work hard. Those jobs and opportunities no longer exist. Government restrictions on everything make it hard to prosper in business unless you buy up small companies to sell them off for a profit...
And you are right, these old guys are running the world. They are deciding which young military members go to fight and die at 18 years of age. And they are all extremely rich if you haven't noticed.
It was wrong to make it possible for women to retire so young even without contributing. It's basically sailing the Titanic full speed ahead right at that iceberg. That's where western countries are all headed. It really is a damn shame too...
These old guys are rich, but also extremely selfish, they are selling the future of the next generations for their present profit.
