RE: @PoliticalHive VOTE Token Proposal
You are viewing a single comment's thread:
A 250B max with current supply at ~20.9M feels huge, so your 100M cap' plus slower emissions could help vlaue stick instead of leaking into constant inflation.
From a numbers view, lower emissions early can steady price expectations and make treasury planning cleaner, but sudden cuts can spook markets too.
If the team does pivot, phasing it in over clear epochs and keeping rewards aligned with real demand would be safer, dont you think? :)

Phases might be better, but I'm also not aware of the cost, requirement, or complexity of modifying an existing token contract.

yeah, on Hive-Engine the cheapest path is usually to throttle emissions first, like pausing minting or cutting staking payouts, if the to;ken issuer still has the right roles. Hard-capping supply often needs either a contract param that allows it or a v2 token with a swap window, which is more coordination than cash burn'. If VOTE can’t change its cap, you can still phase inflation lower per epoch so markets adjust and treasury planning gets cleaner :) A quick contract read on Tribaldex should show what levers exist, then pick the least disruptive route.
