China Hawks are Projecting

The China hawks who fear that China is becoming more powerful so they can invade America are delusional. They're projecting their American imperialist ideology onto the Chinese. It is only America who wants to project power by invading other countries and taking them over. The Chinese have no interest in doing that. They don't have this imperial mindset of taking over the entire world. China only cares about China.

The Chinese want to make China powerful and prosperous. They only care about America in as much as we’re a threat to Chinese sovereignty. They care about Taiwan because they view Taiwan as a part of China. All the propaganda and influence in America by the Chinese is not an attempt to invade America, but just to strengthen China. It is a form of defense against American imperialism. China may want to weaken America through cold war tactics and economic policies in a trade war, but only as a means to weaken the American imperial conquest, to protect themselves, to protect China against the Global American Empire.

China has no interest in a hot war with the US. That's just the American mindset projecting their desire for hot wars onto the Chinese. If America leaves China alone, China will leave America alone.
