I think kids are naturally prone to being judgmental, because around here they're plunged into a social struggle that makes them that way. One of the things I'm ashamed most of in my life is joining in picking on other kids. Some nights I wake up grieving over careless words I spoke, unaware of how kids struggled to overcome being teased.

Not until I was myself teased later, and after some of the kids I'd teased were angry at me for teasing them, did I understand, and that reformed me. So, I remember the lunch ladies being scorned by judgmental students, and I think the meme isn't factually accurate.
