I disagree. We don't have to participate in collective subjugation if we control our personal means of production and create ourselves the wealth, the goods and services that create the blessings of civilization. If wannabe overlords seek to forcibly relegate us to their possession, then we should have provided for securing our persons, property, and loved ones from force, and that may not be possible to do peacefully.

However, I expect that such forcible subjugation is a given, so in actual practical terms, I do agree that there will be no peaceful solution - because they will bring violence.
