My understanding is that while Venezuelan forces weren't impeding the US snatch and grab team, Cuban security officers did, and died for it. I heard Russians also stood down during the operation. This seems very unfortunate for Cuba, but demonstrates the loyalty that is the only recommendation of security forces. Is there any news about this you have heard?

For me, all the thing is too obscure yet. I haven't seen any account with the level of detail that interests me, and we probably won't see one for some time. For example, I would like a sketch of the location with the combat disposition that the US soldiers encountered when they landed, to the level of representing where each Cuban was and where each specifically fell. What really happened with the Venezuelans? There is talk that the Delta Force team encountered heavy fire at the moment of arrival, but that they also had to strongly defend their exit. If you catch some account of this kind please share it here ASAP my friend. Thanks always for your regular and contributive feedback.
