Even Mizuho Bank criticized Takaichi's economy/みずほ銀行でさえ高市経済批判
With the House of Representatives election (February 8th) just around the corner, I'm incredibly anxious.
My Facebook news feed is a chaotic mix of Japanese, English, German, and the occasional Italian or Spanish. I've heard that Bruce Springsteen's new song criticizing ICE's anti-immigration policies has quickly become number one on the charts.
What about Japan? I've heard rumors that if Takaichi remains in power, war and conscription will come, and I've seen an image of actor Go Kato's comment stressing the importance of the Japanese Constitution.
And did you know that economic professionals at places like the Nikkei Shimbun and Mizuho Bank are saying that Takaichi's economic policies are in trouble? At this point, it's no longer a matter of right or left.

そして実は日経新聞やみずほ銀行のような経済のプロが高市経済をヤバいと言っているのご存知ですか？ここまで来るともはや右とか左の問題ではないですね。

Then came the assassination of Benigno Aquino, an anti-Marcos leader who enjoyed strong support from the public. This sparked a surge in anti-Marcos demonstrations. This revolutionary wave culminated in the inauguration of Mrs. Aquino as the new president.
