No more fighting over bus fares! The deadly rivalry between buses to pick up passengers on the road is over! Dhaka's bus syndicate is finally breaking up! 🚌⚡🇧🇩

A revolutionary master plan has been taken in the 2026-27 budget to restore order in Dhaka's public transport. 500 modern and environmentally friendly AC electric buses are being put on the roads of Dhaka and Narayanganj with the World Bank's financing of Tk 2,135 crore!

How the violence of the bus syndicate is ending:

✅ Fixed salary model: Bus drivers and conductors will not drive buses on daily contracts. They will work under big companies on fixed salaries. As a result, there will be no rivalry or confusion among them to pick up passengers on the road.

✅ E-ticketing and auto door: The government will have complete control over bus fares. There will be no opportunity to collect additional fares.

✅ Scrap Fund: All broken, dilapidated diesel buses will be permanently removed from Dhaka's roads and scrapped, and the owners will be compensated.

✅ Duty-free benefits: Duty or tax on the import of electric buses into the country has been completely waived until 2030. Even schools and colleges will be able to import these buses for free.

This transformation of eco-friendly and modern public transport will refresh our Dhaka again.
Electric buses should be introduced in all districts along with Dhaka roads.
