I think what many miss on the "peace through strength" is the underlying motto attached to it. That is "no empathy". That would entail, once started, there's no turning back…

it no longer matters what your eyes see, but what those in power order you to believe. I keep expecting that at some point, Trump allies call bullshit on this, but they seem to keep doubling down.
