Great point, but kinda misleading. The entire population subject to democratic elections cannot vote in those elections. ~half of the population can actually participate in elections, because many are children, millions are help captive as slaves in prisons and jails, and many others for a variety of reasons cannot actually vote. Then only a percentage of eligible and capable voters actually vote. This results in the historical mathematical result being that ~25% of the population actually votes for the 'majority' opinion. Perhaps one violent and strapped up thug beating three unarmed and defenseless children, prisoners in chains, and elderly patients in hospice into submission would be more appropriate.

100%, "democracy" = mob rule. Unfortunately our supposed republic is a corporatocracy now instead of representative of the people. Oh and also gerontocracy with all the ancient fucks grasping onto their reigns of power with all their might. Max age limits would help the latter. No clue how to stop the former given the government is happily balls deep in the corporation collab.
People have to reject the status quo and begin adhering to the new.
Until the crowd rejects rule by force, this is what we get.
No need for military force when we have economic force being wielded and it works to enslave even better. People refuse to acknowledge it and just give in to the tyranny.

That is a bit more refined version of "self sovereignty" and is kinda the utopia many seek. Only technology can allow that eventuality. All of human history has shown us that there is always a group that wrests that sovereignty and weaponizes apathy.
Well, surely there are Ones - psychopaths - who lust for power over Others, and money provides the tool to widespread power. And yes, technology is required to obsolete that tool.
The foundational function of money - in any form - is to account for the energy We each add into a system. This gives Us proof that We added that energy. In scarcity environments, where all hands are needed to get needed things done, this made sense. Don't want "skaters" taking but giving nothing.
In the rare societies that emerged in abundance - "island paradises" mostly - no accounting for the energy Each added arose. Though They had varying social constructs - religious mostly, or ideological - there was no "money" used. No need to prove One added energy with goods and services, or anything representational of that - shells, beads, metals, paper, electronic bits.
Of course, We are long post-scarcity (no political baggage with that), but the moneyed psychopaths in control on Our planet (by virtue of money) do all They can to maintain the moneyed setup.
And given the foundational function of "money," it is clear that free energy tech would obsolete the point of "money." So... They avidly hide and suppress all such technologies.
Given My father worked on such a technology - it went into black projects in 1959 when I was 2 1/2 - I know We have such tech.
So... My work is to motivate Those with the wherewithal to get free energy tech out in the open - without patents to alert Them.

My great uncle developed the means of converting gasoline engines to hydrogen in the 50s, but the oil industry swept in and patented it before they could. Simple ceramic coating on each cylinder wall so rust didn't form. I have been saying most my life there is no reason our world isn't fueled by hydrogen, other than the greed of the oil industry. Can't have the peasants producing their own means of power so easily.

The only issue with hydrogen is its explosive element. Safety becomes a problem.
With electrogravitics, there is no explosive aspect. And it runs cool - things cool a bit, rather than heating - so the bogus "global warming" hype would not fly... LOL!
