Most people don't even care if they're right about their opinions, but rather prefer to be on the side of whomever they think will treat them best. Long before the Irish were being enslaved, the Slavs - their very name refers to their incessant capture and enslavement - had survived and resisted for centuries the vicious attacks on their people.
